At Sengoku,

We are working to both address social issues and expand business by considering how to contribute to achieving the SDGs (sustainable development goals).

  • Renewable Energy and Zero-Carbon Initiatives

    We are taking initiative to reduce our environmental burden, reducing carbon emissions by using solar power, a natural source of energy that does not emit CO2.

  • Promoting Hybrid and Electric Company Car Fleet

    We have introduced fuel-efficient, low-polluting hybrid vehicles for our company's car fleet, concentrating on environmental efficiency, such as conserving energy to reduce CO2.

  • Automation and Robotization of Production Sites

    Through automation and robotization of production sites, we aim to improve productivity and contribute to industrial development.
    Automating strenuous and simple tasks also fosters an environment where employees can work with a sustained purpose and have more time for creative tasks.

  • Development of Graphite Heater Technology

    We are enriching people's lives through eco-friendly energy and original technology that positively impacts society.
    Going forward, we will contribute to the realization of a sustainable society by creating and expanding new technologies.

  • Strengthening Our In-house Research System (Engineer Training)

    The entire company is working to train engineers for future generations while strengthening our in-house research systems in the ongoing pursuit for original technologies.

  • Sustainable Procurement Through the Supply Chain

    We contribute to the development of a sustainable society that will ensure mutual prosperity, conducting rigorous screening of our suppliers and other business partners regarding potential contributions to environment issues, human rights issues, and other social issues.

  • Training to Improve Employee Skills

    When it comes to internal training, we are committed to developing a system for training and education.
    Workers with a positive outlook will naturally foster financial growth.
    We aim first and foremost for quality, continually improving by having all employees participate in the development of human resources, including the adoption of a qualification system.

  • Tuition Repayment Scholarship to Train and Support Employees

    We have introduced a tuition repayment scholarship system to train and support employees. The tuition repayment scholarship program is a collaborative endeavor with Hyogo Prefecture and works to eliminate stress related to tuition by providing subsidies to qualifying employees.

  • Social Bond Investments (Japan Student Services Organization)

    In addition to our own employees, we wanted to support students, who will lead Japan in the future as the country deals with a declining population. Especially considering their struggles during the recent coronavirus pandemic, we invested in Social Bonds issued by the Japanese Student Services Organization (JASSO) in order to finance projects that help solve social issues.

  • Investing in Green Bonds (Hyogo Prefecture)

    Green Bonds are bonds issued to raise funds for green projects designed to help improve the environment.
    The bonds will be used to finance green projects that contribute to achieving the SDGs through measures that utilize the unique characteristics of the Hyogo region and focus on environmental improvements such as pollution prevention and control, renewable energy, and adaptations to climate change.

  • We're improving work-life balance and boosting talent development.

    We are actively working to enhance our working environment and human resources systems.
    We strive to promote work-life balance and foster vibrant talents.
    Our goal is to support employees so they can work with peace of mind and continue their careers confidently.

  • Creating Jobs by Expanding Regional Production Systems

    We built a new factory in the city of Kasai in order to meet inland demands for industry and further develop the region.
    The new factory will not only expand our production capacity, but aims to further improve our corporate value by strengthening our technological capabilities.
    It will also create job opportunities and contribute to developing Kasai's local economy.

  • Accepting Overseas Personnel and Achieving an Inclusive Society

    日We are working to create a safe, secure workplace environment for both Japanese and non-Japanese staff.
    Even today, there are still unfortunately cases where individuals are denied a residence due to their foreign status.
    To address these issues, we are creating multilingual environments and dormitories for non-Japanese employees.

  • Philippines Factory Support

    With the establishment of a factory in the developing nation of the Philippines, we are working to create local employment opportunities and cultivate human resources in the country.
    We provide technical guidance on each process, offering up our know-how on delivery times, quality, and more, and working to create a better environment.

  • Giving Back to Local Regions Through the Hometown Tax System (Donations)

    As an educational investment in Japan, we donated one of the world's largest collections of Chinese mirrors (about 300 in total) to the prefecture. We hope that these authentic pieces will be seen by children, who will lead into the future.
    We also give back to the local community by providing our Aladdin brand products as gifts for the hometown tax system.
